To begin with Northern India, a Western Disturbance is lying over North Pakistan & its induced cyclonic circulation is over Central Pakistan. Indeed, a trough is running from this system across many parts of Delhi, Haryana, Punjab and Uttar Pradesh. Because of these weather conditions, there will be light to moderate rainfall over Himachal Pradesh and Jammu & Kashmir. Punjab will experience dust storm, while, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh will stay dry and hot. But, severe heat wave conditions may arise in Rajasthan.

Delhi could get temporary relief from the scorching heat, as the Met department has forecast partly cloudy skies for today (3rd June). According to the weather body, the maximum temperature on Sunday (2 June) settled at 42.5 degrees Celsius while the minimum temperature remained at 30.8 degrees Celsius.

Coming towards South India, a trough is expanding across Telangana, Rayalaseema & South Interior parts of Karnataka. Therefore, scattered light to moderate rainfall along with thundershowers will take place in Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Kerala, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. In fact main cities of Chennai, Bengaluru and Hyderabad will also experience showers. But owing to prevalence of northwesterly winds, the northern parts of Telangana could witness heat wave like condition.

Likewise, in Central India due to dry & hot winds from the northwest, heat wave conditions will remain over parts of Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Vidarbha and Gujarat. Meanwhile, because of a cyclonic circulation over Northeast Madhya Pradesh and a furrow from this system running across parts of Chhattisgarh, there will be rainfall in many parts of Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra and East Madhya Pradesh.

Finally coming towards east or northeast India, owing to moisture incursion and a cyclonic circulation over parts of Central India; Odisha, Bihar, Jharkhand and West Bengal will see isolated rains with breezy winds. In the meantime, South Assam and neighboring Tripura will experience heavy rainfall. Remaining northeastern states will also witness rain along with thundershowers, because of the cyclonic circulation over parts of Assam & an east-west trough passing across Northeast India.
