Tapioca is a tuber crop that is largely cultivated all over India. Tapioca is known by various names such as cassava, bitter-cassava, Sabudana, and kappa. Several peoples especially in Kerala and Tamil Nadu are cultivating Tapioca as a livelihood. Tubers are rich in starch and vitamin A.

Apart from food crops, many people in India grow tapioca on an industrial basis. Dry sandy loam soil is suitable for Tapioca cultivation. If the pH value of the soil is between 5-7, it is better to increase the yield of Tapioca. It is planted by cutting a length of 22.2 cm Tapioca into small pieces and burying it in the soil. Planting at least one meter apart from each other is good for growth. Tapioca can also be grown in October. When preparing to cultivate Tapioca, be sure to select only disease-free stems. Periodic application of organic manure is good for doubling the yield. One such organic fertilizer application is mentioned here.

If this application is done when the Tapioca nut is two months old, more roots will sprout in the Tapioca and more fruit will be available. Groundnut cake alone is enough for this application. About two months after planting, change the soil beneath it. After removing the soil, the bottom of the stalk about one and a half inches below the soil level, and draw a circle with the stalk with a knife.

The skin of the stalk should be lightly scratched. This should be done in such a way that no white liquid comes out of the stalk. Then add a little groundnut cake, a little water and apply the paste of both on the broken area. Similarly, soak two handfuls of groundnut cake in a liter of water for three to four days. After this, the groundnut cake will be fermented well. This mixture can be poured on the underside of the plant to accelerate the growth of Tapioca.

Sour groundnut cake mixture produces a lot of microorganisms and the plant is resistant and flowering is going well. Be especially careful to use twice as much water when applying this. The amount of this dilution can be calculated according to the type and size of the plant. Groundnut cake application is also beneficial for other plants if it seems that the amount of seaweed taken is increased.

That fermented mixture does not cause ant infestation. Try to do this in the evenings. To do this, you need to add the mixture slightly away from the base of the plant. If such things are taken care of, we can get more yield.
