To maintain healthy living, we should add a good amount of protein to our diet in any form. Poultry food instantly flash into our brain when we think of protein, but there are some vegetables also which can provide us ample amount of protein and other benefits too. Other than poultries & dairy products, Vegetables also can be a great source of protein. Adding vegetables in our diet can reduces the risk of heart disease, diabetes, cholesterol and other diseases. We should add at least 50 grams of protein their daily diet.

1. Broccoli

Broccoli is a little green plant, with a large flowery head & small leaves. Broccoli is edible and is from the cabbage family. You must have hated it during childhood but when you come to know it benefits you will definitely change your mind and will start having it. Broccoli has a high amount of protein, fiber, and other nutrients. It can be eaten both cooked & raw. 

2. Spinach

Spinach originated in Persia and is a green leafy vegetable. Spinach comes under the list of high protein and is a powerhouse of all anti-oxidants & nutrient benefits. Spinach can reduce oxidative stress, blood pressure and can help in bettering the eye health it also help in preventing cancer.  

3. Green Peas

Green peas are the small circled seeds, which comes from the pods. It is added in so many dishes that we eat. Green peas are a part of human diet since many years and is considered as one of the highest sources of protein.  

4. Sprouts

Sprouts are a premature tiny plant that comes from germinated seeds. Sprouts contain vitamins & minerals and are a whole package of nutrients themselves. It can be eaten in the form of salad. 

5. Kale

Kale is a green leafy vegetable and is also considered a rich source of all nutrients. Eating kale can benefit the health of hair & skin. It can be eaten raw in the form of salads & sandwiches. One of the best ways to consume kale is in the form of smoothies. 

6. Potatoes

In India potato is considered to be one of the most favorite & versatile vegetables that everyone loves. We can add potatoes in kind of recipes and it won’t disappoint you. In fact, it enhances the taste of food and boosts protein.  

7. Mustard Greens

Mustard greens are peppery-tasting, green leafy vegetable that comes from the mustard plant. Mustard greens are also known as vegetable mustard, Indian mustard, Chinese mustard & brown mustard. 100g of mustard greens contain around 2.9g of protein. 

8. Asparagus 

Asparagus is popularly known for its probiotic benefits. Asparagus is high in nutrient content and have an average amount of protein in it. Along with protein it also contains folates & vitamin K.  

9. Chinese Cabbage

Chinese cabbage is also known as Bok choy & napa cabbage. Its layers contain anti-oxidants in it. The Chinese cabbage is used in spring rolls & soups in most Asian recipes.
