Indian Railways Latest Update: Passengers Can Now Check PNR and Live Train Status on WhatsApp

Indian Railways has developed a new facility for the convenience of its passengers. Now, people traveling via train can check their PNR Status and see real-time train schedule information on the WhatsApp chatbot.

This new feature has been developed by the Mumbai-based startup, Railofy and it will allow you to track train status and other travel-related information.

Chatbot enables IRCTC customers to track their journey quickly and easily and also eliminates the need to download multiple apps to keep track of the current train status.

Various information, including PNR status, live train status, past and arriving stations information, and other train journey details, will be available to the passengers of Indian Railways via WhatsApp chatbot.

How to check PNR on WhatsApp

Step 1: In order to activate, you must add the Railofy WhatsApp chatbot phone number to your contacts: +91 9881193322

Step 2: Open WhatsApp and start Railofy's chat window.

Step 3: Enter the 10-digit PNR number in the chat box.

You will be provided with all relevant information, including notifications and real-time updates about the train journey. You can also check the train status by dialing 139 from your smartphone.

In Addition, IRCTC now enables you to order food online through Zoop. Here’s how to order food online when on a train journey;

  • Save Zoop’s WhatsApp chatbot number +91 7042062070 on your smartphone

  • Open the Zoop chatbot window in WhatsApp.

  • You can select the upcoming station you want to order to get delivered food by entering the 10-digit PNR number
