If you want to increase your income by doing sewing work from home, this scheme is for you. Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the 'Free Sewing Machine Scheme’ last year. This scheme was started to help women become AtmaNirbhar and earn some income.
About Pradhan Mantri Silai Machine Yojana:
The central government is providing free sewing machines to underprivileged and working women under the scheme. Women can start working from home using a sewing machine under this scheme. Women who want to restart their careers can apply for this scheme. This program is available for 50,000 women in each state.
Free Sewing Machines:
Women from villages and cities can apply for this government scheme. You will need your Aadhar card, date of birth certificate, income proof, passport size photo, and mobile number to receive the sewing machine under the scheme.
If the applicant is disabled or a widow, they should have the proper documents.
How to Apply for the Scheme:
Go to the www.india.gov.in website. To get a free sewing machine, download the application form here. After that, fill out this application form with your details. Finally, submit the photo status of the documents you've requested.
Your application will be evaluated when you submit the application form to the authorized office. After that, an official from the concerned office will verify your application form. Following that, you will be given a free sewing machine.
Eligibility Criteria:
Women applying for the Pradhan Mantri Free Sewing Machine Scheme 2022 should be between the ages of 20 and 40.
The husband of a working woman's income should not exceed Rs. 12,000 under the scheme. Only economically disadvantaged women will be able to apply. More than 50 thousand women will receive free sewing machines as part of this national initiative.
