Holi is a festival that brings out the joyous side of everyone. Aside from smearing colors and throwing balloons at one another, the Holi festival also includes a lot of snacking. Without the scrumptious gujias, the plethora of sweets, and chilled thandai, the festival of Holi is incomplete.

Although, it is impossible to restraint oneself from consuming these tasty treats, going easy on the high-calorie food is advised. Most of the foods that are made on this special occasion are either fried or made up of refined flour. While consuming them in moderation will not pose any harm, however, excessive consumption of these edibles can be detrimental to your digestive system. Eating excessive amounts of such foods can lead to many health-related issues such as bloating, constipation, stomach ache, gastric problems, etc.

Nevertheless, these issues should not overshadow the joy of Holi. Rather than popping pills in the hope of relief, you can opt for some household items that are just as effective in getting rid of digestive issues.
